UK and European Utilities

Following a merger, we were asked by an electricity distribution company to help them to understand their current asset management capability and provide recommendations on how best to amalgamate and, if required, improve it. 

We evaluated their current organisation, processes, information systems and tools against asset management best practice. This evaluation was combined with the overall business strategy and a view of their level of ambition to determine a set of recommendations that would deliver best value from their new combined asset management organisation.

The assessment delivered pragmatic recommendations detailing where the current capability could be amalgamated and where it needed to be improved. We also identified the timescales over which the improvements could be delivered together with the associated implementation costs, financial benefits and resource requirements.

We have delivered similar projects to a large number of utilities in the UK and Europe.
