Over the last five years ICS worked closely with Northern Ireland Water with their implementation of a more asset-focused business. Our engagement began with an assessment of the current situation and a comparison of this with best practice and with the strategy and ambition of our client. From this we used our experience and worked with the NIW to develop a roadmap, which provided the basis, business case and implementation plan for the transformation.The next stages were to design the operation and organisation of the business units required to deliver the new strategy.We have continued to work with Northern Ireland Water as part of the OneAM consortium to implement the required business changes and supporting capability. This work resulted in being presented with the Team of the Year Award in the 2010 Utility Achievement Awards.
