Ofwat have published an updated version of their strategy which can be found here.
The water regulator sets out three high level aims for their strategy:
To transform water companies’ performance
To drive water companies to meet long-term challenges through increased collaboration and partnerships
For water companies to provide greater public value, delivering more for customers, society and the environment
As well as closer relationships with customers, the regulator will be seeking greater public value for customers and communities as well as shareholders.
Ofwat see technological innovations delivered through co-ordinated collaborative efforts being at the heart of meeting these aims.
In order to better reflect the policy situation in Wales Ofwat will be opening an office there.
